1. I love people doing such important work. Like this new endeavor, The Advenure Project. I am buying coal for all of the parents/grandparents in the family this year. And things like this are such excellent reminders of how lucky we are. I honestly have never thought about not having a stove. A stove that I lovingly bake meals, Thanksgiving feasts and Christmas cookies for my family in and on. But there are so many people that don't have a stove. Can't cook their family food. Can't boil water. So, when we are all out & about buzzing around this holiday season, think about those people and do something to help. Even a little something is better than nothing...

2. This message.

3. Thinking about making this and these for holiday gifts.

4. I get asked about this chore chart all the time...Finally found it again!

5. Later this week, some sanity saving holiday tips...do you need them?

6. I'm going to bust a move this week and work off some of that apple pie I ate last week.

7. And last, but not least....I've extended the $5 off a notepad deal through Friday...use couponcode: FRIENDS5.

{ brain buzz + breathe }

The MEpad listed as a great co-worker gift in Breathe Magazine's cute gift guide.... LobotoME’s notepads come in a variety of sanity saving themes, from FeedME (meal planner) to PackME (travel planning). For the free thinker, we love their MEpad for all of your daily lists and to-do’s. There’s a pad for every personality in your office, all made with recycled paper and soy-based inks.

{ brain buzz }

Christmas came early over at our office when we woke up (and while running late to get the kids ready for school) saw that the MEpad had made it to the big leagues on Gizmodo...the tech site of all tech sites. Then, later that day it appeared on Trendhunter and a few other tech sites. I've never had so many MALES shopping on my site. :) Anyway, once we get caught up on shipping I'll be back to post about some sanity-saving holiday tips, Thanksgiving day ideas + more. Peace.

1. EmersonMade's 2011 collection is perfection. So is their home.
2. Love these bus rolls (pictured above). I think one needs to make its way to the wall in our family room.
3. So inspired by all of the important work people are doing to make this world a little better.
4. Love the things in Dandee Designs etsy shop, especially the mini bunting flags.
5. Seriously, all of you Boulder & Denver peeps, you gotta attend Firefly Handmade's Market in mid-December. Mark your calendars.
6. I'm not mormon but I love the message of this Thanksgiving video.
7. Love Kris Carr's energy and I'm ready to kick it up a notch too to end the year on a healthy & peak of wellness note! i'm also going to take her integrative oncologists advice on scheduling weekly mini-vacations... resting & restoring myself in the new year. ps - her new book is out and its on its way to my home...
8. We spent a bunch of time this weekend putting together shoe boxes filled with goodies for this wonderful cause. We enjoy doing this with the kids every year. For more information visit here. Its not too late to do it but you have to bust a move as collection week is this week 11/15-11/22. (Durango peeps- First United Methodist Church is a drop location.) Last year, 8 MILLION shoe boxes were delivered to kids worldwide. That's what I'm talking about.

{ give the gift of sanity }

The new LobotoME website is LIVE! Let me know what you think!

{ on my mind + menu }

Life has been insane lately my friends. And not all "good insane." I'm trying to recover from a variety of things that have happened over the past few weeks, all of which have caused us to pause, breathe and pray. A wild race; my gram ending up in the hospital with what they thought was a massive stroke (it wasn't and thank lord she is getting better); stress at work; the stomach flu; major dental work; etc....Anyway, onward + upward! This weekend was just what I needed...hot yoga, some baking time, dinner with friends, family movie night, church, etc...

Working on getting caught up this week and prepping for the holiday shipping season and taking care of myself and spending lots of time with the kiddos. In the meantime, here are a few things that have been inspiring me lately.

1. This post.
2. This book.
3. Love her wellness warrior list.
4. Speaking of lists, did you remember to vote for LobotoME goods for the Best 2011 eco-friendly organizing product? Mucho gracias!
5. Love everything about this post. A must read!
6. Love this interview with DesignMom.

Now that I survived the insanity of the past month, here are some things I'd like to do this month and some things that are on my mind + menu...

1. Do this and this.
2. Make this and this and these.
3. Start working on holiday photo albums for grandparents.
4. Get some of these to organize my pantry pre-holiday baking.
5. Start making holiday lists...time to get organized for the holiday chaos! :)
6. Love, love, love this chalkboard table.
7. Love everything about this company, 31 bits. I think a large part of my holiday shopping will be done with them...and it makes me really, really want to go to Africa.
8. Wear My new boots. Look at the colored zipper on the back. Adorable...
9. The ME pad on Cool Mom Picks.
10. Firefly Handmade brainstormed up by my dear friend Alli....all of you Colorado peeps, mark it in your calendars! I'm hoping to be there with holiday bells on!
11. Order holiday cards...these are my favorite!
12. Thank you all for your generous donations to the Kenyan orphanage! They were rolling in all last week from my friends across the country! You guys all ROCK. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity.
