I've had people complain that my honey do list (with the skull and the 'do this or die' tagline} was insensitive and crude. :-) Those comments generally make ME laugh because I personally think the skull is hilarious. However, we've got a non-skull, non-death version drafted. Comments? Opinions? Do you like the house one better than the skull?

Hi, not much of an opinion here. If I made a list, I'd prolly be in the doghouse! Something along the lines of honey would you please do this, I love you" is the only thing that works around here.
I like the house one best...
I have never commented here before, but for some reason I want to chime in on this one. The skull is hilarious, and I think many men and women would agree, but for those who have a more "sensitive" take, the house is really cute, and I love the help me help you tag line.... very clever.
Maybe selling both will meet a wide range of audience :)
I think the house is too cute, I am loving the lil birdie! BUT either would work in this house...I have a DD, 11, who likes the girly skull stuff (cute not spooky skulls, lol)
Great stuff- love your blog!!
thanks for the feeback!
J :)
Jenny, I like them both - I love the humor of the skull, but the birdie on the house is cute and has no risk of offending anyone!
The skull is a bit much. The new list is cuter. I want it to be more persuasive.
How about a sweetier type list. Like a wrench or drill at the top and some words of encouragement at the bottom like Baby Your the Best or Honey Thanks for Taking Care of Us! I find sweetness really works in getting my honey to do stuff.
queenoftheclick - thanks for your input! i'm not into "sweet" though! :)
But the list is for the husband, no? Why do we want cuter?
I know my husband guesses he can instantly dismiss anything that's cutesy, because it's obviously NOT his lol
I love the skull, I don't think it's any bossier/cruder than the unspoken intent of any "honey do" list ;) (like we all aren't thinking "or else...." when we make these lists)
