One of my goals this year was to begin composting. I was looking for a compost bin that would look okay on the kitchen counter and that wasn't too big. I finally found it. And its only $14.99. Any composters out there?

Oh, btw, I just started composting this year...I've been bad about it the past couple of weeks since things were hectic but I've got a pile of leaves I'm going to add since mine has been mostly food scraps. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

Iam a keen composter! I love seeing the Neighbour's rubbish over flowing while mine is compact and neat when it is bin day!

We are fortunate though that we can put our compost in with our yard waste.
I have my own compost bin in my garden (that I got at costco) but still can't get over finding a RAT in it last summer.
we keep our compost under the sink until it someone is brave enough to take it out : )
Hi Denise - A RAT! Oh lord! I'm not sure I am ready for this. So I have a bigger compost/waste thing in the garage - so I am going to add my food scarps to that, along with the dirt, leaves, etc...and then I'm hoping to add it to my garden...without my DOG digging through it or any BEARS coming to my garden. Who knows what will happen. It just feels better than to throw the food away...
But, oh a RAT... :)
Okay, we are soul sisters! That was on my agenda this year too. My girlfriend picked me up a compost bin in Ventura but I haven't seen it yet. I'll let you know once I do and how it is going. My mom and Dad Composted when I was a kid and always fed it to our garden! :) I'm looking into a bin for the house, I'll check it out - thanks!
Hi Jana - Yeah, I have a big ugly bin that is in the garage (picture a garbage can like thing) but wanted something cuter for the kitchen counter.

I love composting. I do a regular backyard one and just started vermicomposting. This system is great for small spaces and apartment living.
That is the cutest composter I've seen by far! I may have to buy one!
