{ national adoption month }

November is Adoption Awareness Month. Adoptive parenting comes in quite a few shapes and sizes. There’s domestic adoption (open, semi-open, and closed), there’s international adoption, there’s fostering-to-adopt–and this is just scratching the surface of a few of the “big” ones. I'm always happy to answer questions about our process if any of you have them.

All I can say is that these two children were so meant to be a part of our life. They were out there in the universe meant for us. In my mind, adoption is a perfect combination of hope, faith, prayer and destiny.

You can read more about our adoption story here.

Absolutely!!! They are beautiful kiddos too!

My kids are so "meant for me" that lately I've found myself forgetting that we don't "match"...in fact Jack is often looking for ways that all 3 of them are alike! :-)

Oh my gracious! I had no idea that your children were adopted! I, and 2 of my siblings, are adopted as well so I know a little about it. What a wonderful and beautiful family you make. I love, love (love) adoption! (What a beautiful story over at Design Mom...thanks for the link!)

Congratulations on your successful adoptions! I was told I would never be able to have kids (they were wrong) and since then, even with kids of my own, I still think about adopting someday.
