Wow!! Cool giveaway! I am already subscribed, does that count? :)

My fitness goals for the month are to drink more water - 24 more ounces per day - and to exercise for 2 hours per week, hopefully 4 30 minute runs. Starting small.

Awesome giveaway!!

Fitness goals for the month are to continue stretching WELL daily. I have a big half marathon in 2 weeks and I'd really like a pr.

Cool prize! I could use a new pair of shoes!!!

My goal for the month is to stick with my half marathon training schedule - 3 runs a week (one REALLY long - at least for me). By the end of the month I hope to have run my longest run yet - 8 miles. I'm also running the Nike Human Race 10k on the 31st.

great giveaway! My fitness goals this month are to strength train at least 2 days per week and be able to do 30 consecutive pushups and 5 pull-ups.

thanks!
Lisa

LobotoME said...

Lisa - 5 pull-ups- holy cow!

I don't think I've attempted a pull up since gym class in high school (and if I recall, wasn't very successful at it then!)

You go girls!

My fitness goal is 20 min jogging on the treadmill and lots of gardening, at least 4 times per week.

My goal is to hit 500 minute of exercise this month. I KNOW I can do it, but I've never actually gotten to 500. This is a great giveaway!

Anonymous said...

I'm traveling a lot for work this week so I'll be sitting down a TON. My goals are to be intentional about my walking speed while in Chicago and to stretch while stuck on the bus. I barely seem to have time to exercise during a normal week but during weeks where I work between 50 and 60 hours, it is even closer to impossible.

since there is a baby bean growing in my belly it's even more important for me to get on the ball here. due to this gigantic lack of energy my fitness goals for the week are simple.
*stick the 'lil boy in the stroller and go for a good long morning walks - breathe fresh air and get moving.
*and streeeeeeeeetch!
++++
what a fantastic giveaway. of coarse i already subscribe to the lobotome blog feed and i appreciate the daily inspiration that comes my way from here. thank you!

my fitness goals this month? to try to work out at least once a week. i know, pretty wimpy, but i'm in school full time at the end of a harsh semester, working full time, and in the midst of some pretty serious home improvements, so it's about all i can handle this month. but it's my goal none the less.

LobotoME said...

Great goals everyone! Remember it is about what works for YOU! If you are just getting started, ease into it with a daily walk...start adding some time/distance/hills or speed to it. Drink lots of water!

Katie R - Try doing some stretches & core exercises on a towel or yoga mat in the hotel room at night. Or make it a point to spend 20-30 minutes at the hotel fitness center each evening. Take the stairs everywhere you go! It's amazing what fitness you can {build} into everyday situations.

Lindsay - Congrats on the little baby on the way - walking & stretching are great! Check out www.gotogabby.com for some safe pregnancy workouts!

Robyn - Every little bit counts! Just schedule it in!

Thanks everyone for your great comments & ideas! YOU CAN DO IT!

ps - These sneakers RULE! I wear mine everyday!

RunLikeMama said...

So cool! My two goals: incorporate more strength training during the week; get in consistent 35-40 miles per week for a fall marathon

Anonymous said...

My fitness goals this month are to get back to being consistent with my running instead of just fitting it in and causing unneeded stress. And to strength train 2x a week. I suck at adding in strength training and need to just bite the bullet and do it.

Adding you to my reader now :)

wow, what a great give-a-way!

For August I have decide to increase my daily morning 3 mile walk with my dogs TO a 4.5 mile walk. I'm off all my meds so this will really help with my weight loss goals + increasing my fitness. So far, so good! But boy could I use some new sneakers :)

My fitness goals are to continue to walk twice a week for an hour with my friend and do the exercise bike/strength/stretching on the other days. I'm expecting so it's nothing super strenuous.

As far as eating I try to have fruits/veggies with every meal, eat whole grains, and drink lots of water.

My fitness goal this month is to stop finding excuses for a) making a goal and 2) just doing it. Seriously...no more trips to the snack machine at work, take the stairs, fill my water bottle twice a day, break a sweat 3-4 times a week and hug my kids really, really hard (doesn't that count as strength training) :)

LobotoME said...

Hi Patti! Sounds like a great plan! This is what this month is all about - stopping the excuses and getting MOVING!

my goal is to start slowly, but exercise at least 5 times a day. I'm 15 weeks prego and basically had to take the first 3 months of pregnancy off because I was so sick (and tired all the time). Now I'm back and hoping to stay in shape.

Greetings! I am entering your contest for my husband. He has finally taken his health and losing weight seriously. He has begun to ride his bicycle on the trails and is really watching his caloric intake. If the weather is inclement, he rides the exercise bike in our basement. I would love to surprise him with this wonderful prize package to further encourage him. Thanks, Cindi
