{ lights out }

Tomorrow, at 8 p.m., people all over the planet have pledged to switch off their lights for an hour in an effort to call attention to the issue of climate change. Earth Hour, March 29 from 8 - 9 p.m. local time, looks like it's going to be really big. So far tons of cities around the world are taking part, including Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Phoenix and San Francisco in the U.S.

Sign up for Earth Hour by visiting Earth Hour to sign-up and join the movement with ME. We are going to lay out on the deck and look at the stars and tell stories by candlelight with Sam.

Turning the lights off for Earth Hour is a great first step, but if you really want to see a difference, then make Earth Hour part of your everyday life. Simple things like turning off appliances while not in use and switching your lights to energy efficient bulbs, will all help us reach our goal of reducing our annual emissions by 5%. Even something as simple as turning out lights when you’re not in a room and switching to cleaner sources of electricity like “green power”, make a big difference!
