{ smarter shopping }

Here are some smart grocery shopping tips to get you in & out of there faster and with healthier products.

1. Shop with a list. Sort items by area of store.
2. Keep a well-stocked pantry.
3. Bring home seasonal & fresh items (such as veggies & herbs) to add to the staples on hand.
4. Use a menu plan. Spend a few minutes before shopping to plan out the meals for the coming eek. Figure out lunches & breakfasts too. This saves time and money because you only buy what you need. And if you have a plan for using the foods you buy, they are less likely to sit uneaten in the back of the refrigerator. I like to do this on Sunday evenings and grocery shop on Monday mornings.
5. Avoid crowds. Try to avoid shopping at 5pm when everyone gets out of work.
6. Find out about delivery days of organic produce.
7. Use coupons wisely.
8. Don't forget to bring your re-usable shopping bags.
