{ Insanity is doing the same thing but expecting different results.}
I've been loving reading everyone's resolutions that have been put out there and sent to ME. Thank you for sharing.
Two weeks into the new year is a good to time to pause and see how we are doing with them. Are there a few areas that need a jump-start? Do you keep doing the same thing over & over again but expecting different results (eg. not working out but expecting to get in shape?). Are there ones that you need to add to your list? Remember, now is the time to create the life you want.
Common themes this year include - spending less; being more mindful & present with our loved ones; creating more; and taking better care of ourselves. I'll keep posting tips on how we can all work towards achieving these notions.
Here are a few tips for each of those areas.
1) Spend less. Check out these smart grocery shopping tips.
2) Mindful Mama. This week try bringing your kids &/or partner breakfast in bed and snuggle with them.
3) Create more. Fall in love with something - anything. It doesn't matter what it is - just give yourself permission to do it. To get started, try writing in a journal for 5-10 minutes. Check out these sites for some great crafty ideas to do by yourself or with your kids.
4) ME-Time. In a jam-packed day, carving out even 5 minutes for yourself can seem challenging. Schedule the time into your planner. Seeing a notation on your calendar helps ement the idea that you should plan time to re-charge. Dedicate a spot. When you see your meditation cushion, cozy chair or yoga mat, you'll associate it with taking a break. Make it Fun. If it is something you look forward to, you'll be drawn to doing it day after day.

Thanks for those tips! I am doing good except for the exercising everyday! I have been saving $ and making more, buying less.
Thanks for the links! I am especially trying to cut our grocery bill every week. We seem to spend a fortune! We don't eat out a lot and we both work from home, so we eat almost every meal here... but there has to be a way to cut some costs, right? :)
A good reminder to step back and see how those new goals for the year are working out too – Thanks!
great tips- thx! we have been spending $250/week on groceries - isn't that outrageous for a family of 3...UGH. i am going to try to get it down to $100/week.
My MomME Planner lets me plan for all of that...and as a result, my organized mind lets me DO all of that (well, more now then ever before, anyway)! Thank you LobotoME!
